Addresses in Rome
In the centro storico, most street names are posted on ceramic like plaques on the side of buildings, which can make them hard to see. Addresses are fairly straightforward: the street name is followed by the street number.
Usually numbers are even on the right side of the street and odd on the left side, but it's worth noting that Roman street numbering, even in the newer outskirts of town, can be sometimes erratic, infact sometimes numbers are in ascending consecutive order on one side of the street and descending order on the other side.
The buildings in the squares instead have a unique numbering, progressive, which generally follows the clockwise direction, starting generally from the side with an important building.
Recap: street names are on ceramic like plaque and in the address the street name is always followed by the street number.
